We are working on updating some work we have done with the Microsoft Education team to create a Windows 8 "Metro" styled application. We have been working on metro Windows 8 interface styled projects for almost a year now but always as a design influence, rather than a core principle. Now with the imminent release of Windows 8 we get to play with the real thing.
Most of us here have the cusumer preview running somewhere in our office, and we're excited about where it is heading. It feels as big as Windows 95 was but with some many more users and so much more visibility. It's going to be a big deal for us and a lot of other folks so we're getting our feet wet early by updating a couple of our exisitng desktop gadgets and web portals to be included in the new Windows Marketplace.
